Do you want to stop a medical abortion?
If you have started an abortion and have taken the first medicine, mifepristone, you can leave the abortion unfinished. The first drug does not harm the foetus, although it does increase the risk of miscarriage. Many babies have been born perfectly healthy even if the woman has taken the first medicine before the abortion. The Teratology Information Service (09 471 765 00 Mon-Fri 9-13:00) provides official information and information on the effects of other medicines on pregnancy.
Need spiritual help?
The Right to Life Association is based on a Christian view of humanity and worldview. On this basis, we believe that every human being is an invaluable and unique individual from the moment of conception. On many occasions the Bible shows the value of the human person from the womb, for example in Psalm 139, when King David writes:
"You created me from the inside out, you wove me together in my mother's womb. I thank you that I have been wonderfully made. Thy works are wondrous, my soul knows it well. My bones were not hidden from you when I was secretly made, when I was skilfully woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw me already as my idol." (Psalm 139:13-17)
If you are pregnant in a difficult situation, we want to reassure you: there is hope! Your baby is not an accident, but a boy or girl created by God, and immensely precious to Him - just like you. God wants to bring hope and a future for both you and your baby.
If you have had an abortion and regret it, we assure you that Jesus Christ, through His death on the cross and resurrection, has borne all sins - including abortion. He wants to forgive you and He can free you from the trauma of abortion. We believe that babies lost through abortion are in Heaven with God. We too can go to Heaven and have eternal life if we accept Jesus. "God so loved the world that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
